I know what this face is saying: Thank you mom for the 2 am meal, I know I tasted pizza in that fresh squeezed! I really enjoyed the diaper change, I was feeling a bit moist. I would rather play than go back to bed, are you really that tired?
Since Andrew's latest find is sushi, I took him out for dinner for Father's day. One of my friends and coworkers was all too excited for a chance to watch Dominic. Rickee was a natural holding and feeding Dominic. She brought along Bill for company and he was able to sooth Dominic when he was impatient for his meal. We can't thank them enough for out mommy and daddy alone time.
Grandparents are truly a blessing for our family. Dominic is lucky enough to know almost all of his great-grandparents. We enjoy visiting family, and they are always astonished by his rapid growth.
I began painting Dominic's room 6 months before we concieved, Andrew was a little frightened as a described what I wanted to do with the room. I choose the Winnie the Pooh theme because of the divine impact the stories had on me as a child. I went to the Fishers library and borrowed an overhead and projected the copied images on the wall and setched the pictures with pencil. I then bought a hodgepoge of paint at Home Dept (oops paint) and Joanne's crafts. I outlined everything in black, and then began to add color. I enjoyed decorating the room, it was a mixed emotion to finish the walls. I was thrilled by the effect, but at the same time really enjoyed the process. My biggest complement came when I took Dominic in his room for his first feedings, and his eyes got really wide and he stared at the wall the entire time. Now as I read the Pooh stories at night we can look at the walls and pretend we are in the Hundred Acre Woods.
